Blacksheep's back, alright!

So after an extended hiatus, the answer is: yes, the Blacksheep team is back to tumbling.  We’ve been working really hard to get things going for your shopping pleasure, only to bring you guys the most stylish and classic selections. While you excuse our short absence from the blog, we’re coming at you with updates galore!

First of all, we’ve revamped the blog a bit if you haven’t noticed already, & updated the online shop so that it’s up & running for all your holiday shopping needs.  You’ll notice when you enter the shop, not only can you check out all of our one-of-a-kind Blacksheep Vintage goodies, but you can shop for Hellagant items as well!  Yup, you heard it.  Hellagant is making a comeback, & with the holiday season creeping up on all of us, what better way to surprise that special woman in your life than with those Hellagant pieces she wasn’t able to get her hands on before?

Love our online shop, but are a more visual being & want to check out our pieces in person?  You’re in luck if you live in the San Francisco area.  If you haven’t seen the previous blog already or have not yet had the chance to follow us on Twitter (@WEareBLACKSHEEP), which you already should be, then come & check us out at Thread San Francisco.  This will be a two-day event that will be showcasing San Francisco’s top independent brands & you also have a chance to get your paws on some amazing items that you can add to your wardrobe at discounted prices.  You can be a part of all the action this Saturday, Nov. 21, & Sunday, Nov. 22, in the Festival Pavilion at the Fort Mason Center from 11AM to 6PM.  Admission is $10 at the door & $8 with RSVP at www.threadshow.com.  Once you’re there, you can find us at booth B107 to shop both the vintage & Hellagant collections or just hang out & have a drink or two with us!  Hope to see y’all there.

Be original!

Boogs from Black Sheep Vintage here. Just wanted to show you guys one of the items I completely altered. It was an old ladies jacket from the 80’s. I saw it’s black sheep potential and made it into a double breasted mens modern jacket. Remember! Mens jackets overlaps left of right. Don’t let anyone fool you. Also, I added some shoulder straps and pretty much hella other things. Anyway, here’s a preview. Hope you guys like it.

It will be up for sale on our eBay store soon. Cop it. It’s hella original. No one else out there will have it.

• Non paid internship.
• Preferably some experience/background in fashion design or merchandising.
• Must be available at least 2-3 times a week.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a dope personality! (we’ll be the judge of that ;)
• Must be interested in vintage clothing. (duhh..)

If you’re interested in a career in fashion, this will be a great way to gain some experience!

Moving up in this world!

Hey all! We’ve definitely made a lot of moves since the last blog update. We finally have our Ebay store up and running for your viewing pleasure. So far we’ve listed over 50 items and we’re still going. Please check it out and tell us what you think! Oh, and make sure you keep visiting.. we’ll have new items listed for you every single day! About Us

Reconstruct! Pretty much is what we do… We find vintage pieces and apply our design aesthetics; pattern making, trend analysis, cut/sew skills and make these vintage pieces hella original.

A black sheep to us is something original, or one-of-a-kind (a vintage piece). The feather represents our take on altering/reconstructing these items making them more original then they already are. Made modern while maintaining its vintage characteristics. Something we hope all of you vintage shoppers would appreciate.

Furthermore, a black sheep thinking he/she can fly is pretty daggon original which is pretty much the concept. Dag on? or Dang on? You get the point…
